Rough Close March 10'

Another great turn out, comfortable spot and friendly folk.
We had a dry'ish' spell this time and enough time to relax, so a few projects were underway.

Fantastic time had by all. J tried out his own tarp for the first time (very brave), Wolfcrafter (steve) tried out his DDhammock set-up for the first time.
We also tried out a new cooking system (more details will follow) designed by steve.
The weather did a bit of a u-turn and was actually quite nice! Although it was cold early hours of sunday morning!
Got chatting to some guys, and have been inspired to have a go at sorting a Lavvu/wood burner combination...
Really enjoyed this one and look forward to next one in March.

Wales 09' ... rain, rain.... and more rain

Seriously wet and nasty conditions..... never had such a bad pitch as this.
We did at least manage to get a fire started, J used Cramp Ball and Bracken.. needed to dry it off and wait for the rain to stop first though! Nightmare!! We were able to cook up Trout for supper, which was brought along by Steve (aka Wolfcrafter). Delicious!
It would be a crackin spot in the Spring/Summer.. Can't win em all I guess...

Tewksbury Medieval Fayre 09'
Well worth a visit, this is a great place to pick up some Bushcraft bargains (as is any re-enactor fair). They also need more support to keep this going!
Loads of Leather suppliers, natural materials and crafts, lots of Gransfors
axes for sale... A superb day out, and thoroughly recommended for all you
Bushy types!
